The other thing to check is that you are using BNG in your code as well as in
the window - ensure that the coordsys AND display coordsys of your map X
object are set to BNG and that the raster is correctly registered. If add a
raster layer the map always defaults to whatever coordinate system the raster
layers is registered in - same as MI Pro. The effect is more pronounced the
further you are away from the BNG origin - what you might be seeing is the
map engine making a compromise between lat/long and BNG as you add features.

Subject: MI-L MapX - raster background not drawing in the right place

Hi Everyone,

I'm developing an application using VB and MapX, which is showing strange
behaviour whilst the users are digitizing.

Basically, they add a line, the map refreshes itself and the raster basemap
isn't displayed in the same place anymore. It's usually only a small offset,
but I have seen it offset by about 1cm on the screen at times. Zooming out,
then back in again fixes the problem.

has anyone seen anything similar? More to the point, has anyone got any
ideas on how to stop it happening?

MapX 5, VB 6. Maps are seamless TIFF or ECW files, British National Grid
projection.

TIA

Dave.
