Pooh, if I see what others are producing as their "new technology" I must say I'm still pretty happy with MapInfo, even older versions. Seeing these products (no names here, but should be obvious to anyone ...) at work is something like "best of sleeping pills". MapInfo outperformes them all by far; i.e. if I have to wait 20-30 seconds each time I zoom around I must say I get nuts and I'm a bit astonished that such things sell. So, no matter what "many in the industry" say, people who know both of the worlds and are not part of certain sects have a crystal clear choice ...
