Hi Flavio, I agree completely with your enthusiasm for "old" MapInfo Pro's abilities. I too still find it to be a better choice as far as technical abilities go.
However, technical superiority isn't a guarantee of success, a lesson OS/2 and Betamax have taught us. And MapInfo now year-long "development resting period" do have consequencies when the competition isn't resting, and may very well result in long-term repercussions.
