Hi all I have had similar problems with printing layouts with legends, and also saving them out as jpegs etc.
The only way i have been able to get around it is saving the window as a Windows Metafile (.wmf) or Windows Enhanced Metafile (.emf) format image, which works no problems. File sizes can be quite large, but at least all the info is there... You can still add these to Powerpoint presentations or print them out fine.
