Thanks for the responses.

Srens suggestion put me onto checking the region style options. I found
the offending table and made the change I needed. After I made the change to
the table (I changed the region style from solid green to no pattern) I
opened the workspace and everything displays just as I need. So I opened
the workspace in a text editor to see what was actually changed. I was
expecting that the brush clause would be 01 for pattern with no fore or back
colors. But what actually changed was the pen color clause; it changed from
black to red. I find this very confusing because the table has always been
a rectangular grid of red lines. The problem had been that it was
displaying with a green fore or backcolor. Or so I thought.

Id like to be able to figure this one out. I hate fixing things without
really understanding the problem.

Does anyone know what Display Global and Display Graphic means in the
workspace. I think it means has to do with the table being polygons vs
lines.

Thanks,

I have a group of workspaces that we use to create layouts from. At
some point the display properties of one or more of the tables in the
workspaces was changed. One or more of the layers is displaying with a
green forecolor. I think that the offending table is one of three polygon
tables, but I'm not sure. I need to change it (or them) back but I am
having trouble finding which one is the trouble-maker. When I use the layer
control menu all of the display properties for the layers appear to be set
correctly. I'm hoping that I can simply edit the workspaces to set the
correct display. I have tried removing the "Brush (x,x,x)" option from the
layer display in the workspace and have used the argument for no fill

(pattern > 3 and no backcolor) but am still getting a green display.

Following are the polygon layer display parameters from the workspace

Layer 1

    Display Global

    Global Pen (2,2,16711680) Brush (1,16777215,16777215)

Layer 15

I am working with MIv7.0 on MS XP. Does anyone know if there is a bug at
work here? Hopefully I'm just missing something.

Also, what is the difference between "Display Graphic" and "Display Global"
in the workspace?
