A colleague has produced a WMF file with Mapinfo v 6.5 which he has sent me but I can only open it with QuickView. Mapinfo displays an instruction to creat a file association in Control Panel, Folder Options but WMF does not appear in the dropdown so is not available.
Also I am getting an error "Can't open preference file, using internal defaults" when I open Mapinfo. I had this problem a long time back and can't remember the fix - it's a corrupted file that needs reinstalling I think but our IT helpdesk don't support Mapinfo so I'd be grateful for any help Thanks Mike Collard
