Is the cost increase of buying dual processors worth it or will one hyper-thread processor still allow someone to work when running a large Mapinfo task (something that takes an hour or so to run). We don't run these all the time, but when we do, we really can't do anything else on our PCs.
Our current environment is a single 1.7Ghz PC with 512MB of RAM. I'm looking to replace these and I'm wondering what the best new PC would be.
