Subject: Re: MI-L Adding graphic elements
Hi Chris
On the presumption that I have understood your question correctly - the
answer is yes and maybe!
The "Yes" comes from the fact that using the "Symbols" menu you will find a
custom symbols font. This allows you to save a graphic file (eg. a company
logo, etc) and use it as the point symbol as opposed to the normal MapInfo
symbols. If you are using MI Pro 7.0 or earlier there are restrictions on
the size of the graphic object. Check the "Help" files or the "User Guide"
and you should get the necessary details.
As far as the "maybe" goes, there is a function under the "Objects" menu
called "Enclose". If you have a series of lines around your point object
that form the perimeter of your desired region, you can select the lines and
use the "Enclose" function to create a region. Then just style the region
with the desired line and fill. Again, it may make more sense to go to the
"Help" menu for more detail rather than me going into a long winded
explanation here.
Not sure if this is what you were looking for or not but hope it helps in
some way.
