Thanks for the information. Are there help and links to the 'public cadastral database', or similar resources? Thanks for any further info.

Namely, to display parks as patches you need to know the shape and size of the park in question. You may look it up in public cadastral database or something along these lines - people usually do not make it easy (that is the hard part). Now the easy part, adding it to your landmarks table. There are 2 ways, depending on what you got. One is to draw the park, the other to insert it. To draw: Select park from your table. Browse selection. Add selection to Mapper and make it editable. Under Objects menu, do "Clear map objects only" - that will disappear the icon. Then, keeping the browser selected, draw park of required shape with the polygon tool. Presto! To insert; Assumes that you have some kind of MapInfo-compatible electronic data to copy from. Cntl C/ Cntl V will do it, with your landmarks table made editable. Then browse the selection and enter the correct data. -- Sofia Nikolsky JCH GeoInfo Solutions (919) 493-9339 www.jchgis.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message number: 10366
