Josh, Thanks for you help. I downloaded Multispec which allowed me to view my images and resave them as GeoTiffs. The resaved files opened in MapInfo v7.5 with no problems. I assume that the Geotiff files that PCI Geomatica created could no be read by MapInfo. PCI told me that the geotiffs their software creates are "Geotiff 6.0 Revision 1". However, thank you all for your help.

In 7.0 I generally open the GeoTiff as an image file and register the image. For whatever reason MI dosn't seem to pick up on georeferenced tiff images right away. What I do is open the associated projection file and input the coordinates of the corners into the image registration workflow. Dirty but it seems to work. If the image isn't loading at all I would suggest that you use a secondary program to make sure the file isn't corrupted (Ie. Adobe Illustrator, Multispec, OpenEV. The latter two are free). Let me know how it goes, Josh C. I have created Geotiff's from PCI Geomatica and cannot open them in Mapinfo. One type of GeoTiff is a Panchromatic 0.6m resolution image. The other type is a Multispectral 4 band 2.5m resolution image. I have tried several options including using MapInfo's ECW Compressor which did not work. I have also tried using MapInfo's GEOREG program but receive an error stating that "the specified file does not contain valid registration information. However, I am able to open the images in ArcGIS with no problems. Can anyone help me open the images in MapInfo? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to manage a very large dataset by clipping into smaller layers, using a script to automate this process as it will be done often. Hopefully someone out there has done this before an can help. Thanks in advance - Sam
