Well, I might be wrong, but as far as I remember MapInfo 4.1 was the last version
supported on Mac !?

Subject: MI-L Converting MI Mac to MI PC..any help?

Last week, for a reason unrelated to business, I had some interaction with
a cool, somewhat esoteric, 75 year old, University of Pennsylvania
Linguistics professor who used MapInfo for the Macintosh in the past to
create maps of linguistic patterns and changes in North America. His work
is quite nice.

He was using MapInfo for the Macintosh, V4. He recently bought MapInfo
V7.5 for the PC. He now realizes that to use his older Mac-generated maps
he needs MI V4.5 for the Macintosh to be able to translate them to MI 7.5
for PC (according to tech support somewhere...) Can we help him out? How
does he find a copy of 4.5 for the Mac so he can do the translations?
Preferably gratis.

Thanks for any insight,

Cinda Graubard
