Forums si, equals, hell non. MapInfo-L is so vital and useful, and we have so much in common with so many people here, though we mostly use ESRI software. For an independent forum, I would also choose Bill Huber's list on Directions, but the ESRI website has useful forums by software and by topic and a ton of other resources.
It should also be noted that Bill Thoen and Bill Huber are among the most helpful people on the planet when you have GIS questions. And have been for a long long time. There is a lot more happening here than users helping users, as important as that is. BTW, if you use GIS for business applications, allow me to be the first person from ESRI-land ever to invite MapInfo users to an ESRI conference. The Business GeoInfo Summit in Chicago, June 28 and 29 http://esri.com/events/geoinfo/index.html, will be of great interest to all regardless of the software platform one chooses. Not to mention the biggest, longest, happiest GIS party in the world, the ESRI International User Conference in San Diego in August. ************************************************* Steve Lackow RPM Consulting 17130 Devonshire St, Ste 205 Northridge, CA 91325 (818) 831 -7607 Fax (818) 831-9078 http://rpmconsulting.com ************************************************* ----- Original Message ----- From: "B.
