hello all, I am just starting out with mapbasic programming and have hit a snag. I have a table of objects that are made up of compartments, which in turn make up blocks. I want to give users the ability to quickly select compartments by: choosing a block from a list of blocks, and then choosing from a list of the compartments that make up the block.
I have gotten the programme to list the blocks, but cannot get the compartments from the block. I have given the block listbox an ID number of 1. I have dimensioned a variable as readcontrolvalue(1), but all it seems to return is just the position in the block list, not the actual value. How do I get the actual value from the block list?
