our product Grid Analyser is able to calculate density grid from point objects (www.terris.sk).
The density estimation code in GA presents the user with a two of different two dimensional density estimation methods: kernel and nearest neighbour. The code is based on Atkinson and Unwin study.
Also GA's "Spatial data analysis" module creates a grid from site data (points) based on the distance or statistical relation between point's values. Proximity and distance analyses are supported as well.
