Hi,

You can check out MI-SDM (www.avantra.com.au) for a range of spatial
analysis and spatial modelling tools, but it isn't free either.

MI-SDM can generate density grids for point, line or polygon layers, with a
variety of interpolation methods (flat, normal, quartic, conic or
exponential).
