MI-L UK grid references

I'm a new MapInfo user. I have previously been using CentroidX for Eastings & 
CentroidY for Northings in tables without problems. Having now changed my machine and 
reloaded MapInfo, the results are given as eight figure references with a decimal 
point after the first six. Is there a setting which limits the number of significant 
figures?
