Hello everyone, I am seeking a mapping website or tool that uses 2 map windows where one map window controls the zoom and panning of the second map window. I am not sure if this use of gis has a name so I was not sure how to search for uses of it.
Here is an example of how it would work: If one window contained a gis generated map and the second was an aerial image and they were linked so if you zoomed or panned on one window, the other window would make the same changes so you would see the same area. I know that there are a couple of companies that have this working on a website but I am trying to find the earliest instance of this use of gis whether it is on a desktop program or on a website. Any help or input ould be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
