I just changed my preferences for display in Windows, but I like this suggestion better. Creates the background colour for maps at the same time.

I think this would be more > pleasant for my eyes. For all our maps we have a bottom layer of ocean.tab which just consists of a WGS-84 map of the entire world +/-180� and +/-90� as a rectangle. We colour the map in the table a nice light blue and use that as the base layer for any maps we create. It has another advantage as it is the first layer, and is WGS-84, so if anyone brings in other tables on top, the whole map is still in WGS-84 which is what our application (GPS tracking) requires.
