Use Vertical Mapper > Create Grid > Region to Grid...
A choosen column from the vector table will be the value of the grid
celles. There is no interpolation.

Put grid back to vector with with Contour botton.

Subject: MI-L Calculating Slope and aspect in a grid

Hi all,

I have a grid in MapInfo consisting of a large number (>300,000) of
polygons with multiple attributes attached. One of those attributes is
altitude.

I want to calculate slope and aspect for each polygon - preferably in
MapInfo.

I know VM does this but I can't get the grid into VM without VM
interpolating it in some way and changing the data.

So does anyone have any wise words/ MB code / tool / algorithms to do
this please? I imagine it is a relatively common task.

                                TIA,

                                                Jim
