Can you not export the TIN in dxf format to a delimited ASCII file. Most
applications can import/export to ASCII.

Subject: MI-L Vertical Mapper translate DXF TIN to TAB

Hi MapInfo / Vertical Mappers

I have a TIN in dxf format and when I translate the file to MapInfo Tab
(or MIF) using Universal Translator it drops all attributes. I can
calculate the X, Y of the nodes, however most important to me is the
the z attribute - which is not carried across.

I have experimented with FME and ArcToolBox (converting to shape and
then to tab) and have had some success, however I want to run all steps
in MapInfo if I can help it.

Any ideas?

Thanks
