Jaromir,

I believe this is due to a memory limit.

When printing to the PDF file go into the advanced printer options and
reduced the DPI from 1200 to something like 300DPI.

Let me know how you go.

Paul

Subject: MI-L MI: Problems printing large layouts

Hi there,

I have problems printing large layouts from MapInfo. When setting a custom
paper size to 42X56 inches (42 is the maximum width of our HP DesignJet
500PS), the whole layout becomes grey (the color normally used to show the
nonprintable area at margins) and a white page is printed. The same with
Acrobat Distiller postscript driver. Printing to 42X55 inches custom paper
or to standart paper sizes, such as ISO A0 or Arch E, works fine. This
problem is specific to MapInfo, because printing from other software like
PowerPoint makes no problems. It seems that there is some limitation on
the maximum paper length (56 inch?). Does anyone have a clue on this? It
is really frustrating.
Thanks!
