Hi all,

We use a lot of GPS derived positions and would like to increase the
accuracy of these. We currently use a survey grade GPS but this gives us
approx 1m repeatability and maybe 0.4m accuracy over a short time.

We would like to get down to a few cm's accuracy. I believe there are 2
ways of doing this:

1. RTK GPS - 1 to 2 cm accuracy and repeatability BUT problems with
cost and base stations.
2. Post processing - record the raw GPS info and use software to
post process the raw GPS info to give accuracies in the 5 to 10cm
ranges. E.g. HYPERLINK "http://www.waypnt.com"http://www.waypnt.com and
many others.

So the question is: Does anyone use post processing software with
MapInfo - would they recommend it?

                        TIA,
                                    Jim
