Never tried this, but what about exporting a table to MIF, reorder objects in the MIF file and import it back to TAB?

Yes- if you select an object that is "behind" another object on the same
layer, then move it ever so slightly, then undo the move, it will be
re-drawn as if over the other object. In no way is it permanent, but for an
isolated instance, it works.

No- There is no way to manipulate the draw order of objects in the same
layer. If you apply the above "trick" it will not stay that way when the
table is reopened.
you must resign yourself to separating all objects that would be on the same
layer "plane" into individual tables. I created a logo once that needed 6
layers to get everything on top of everything else just the way I wanted it.

Subject: MI-L Controlling the display order

I am creating multiple text objects that overlay each other. Is there a way
to control the display of these objects so that I can display certain text
features in front of others. An example would be displaying a text font that
contains a rectangle and then displaying text on top of that rectangle.
Right now, it seems random. Sometimes the text displays on top of the
rectangle and sometimes the rectangle hides the text.

I have tried to do the Inserts in the order in which I want the text to
display but that doesn't seem to have any effect.

Thanks,

Jim Giannini
