I'm in need of some help from all you experts out there.... I have a table of polylines (from a GPS receiver) that represent boundaries of an agricultural field. These lines are not continuous but are only drawn where the boundary of the field changes direction. So at the moment to draw the field and get an area I trace round the polylines (using autotrace) with the polygon tool - drawing a straight line between the polylines.
Is there any way to do this automatically in mapbasic if I select the polylines to combine or if they have a common attribute? I have tried combining the polylines into 1 and then using "convert to regions" in the edit objects menu but this draws regions by closing the original polylines - i.e. creating 4 regions from 4 polylines not 1 region from 4 polylines. Anybody have any ideas? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------- Jim Wilson, Hilton of Fern, By Brechin, Angus, Scotland.
