There is no "default". In MapInfo tables, each object has its own styles.
The styles are stored in the .MAP file with each object.

Thus the object in the OCEAN table has that particular blue stored with it
in ocean.map.

It's possible to override the objects' intrinsic styles with layer settings,
or to edit the table to set new styles.

Hope this helps
Spencer

Subject: MI-L Default .tab color

Hi!

Where is the default color of a tab stored?
e.g. when I load the ocean.tab (supplied on the MapX 5.0 install CD) file
into MapInfo, it is blue. I've looked at the .tab file in a text editor and
can't see any color setting?

So is it stored in the .map .dat .id ?

Cheers for any help

Tim
