A few things that in many cases solves these problems are: 1. Choose a different Windows Default Printer 2. Remove the printer settings from the workspace

The tables open up OK and then the Layout Window starts to open, but then the system "hangs". Note that I ran the Repair option from the MapInfo CD, but it had no effect. I then did a complete uninstall and then re-install of MapInfo, with still the same results. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could check to fix this problem?
