Bill, 

I have had the same problem several times. It could be a change of 
printer, or printer settings,  as  that information is embeded in 
workspaces. If it has to look for another or a new  printer, it can take 
ages to open.

The only thing you can do is either wait,  change the printer in MI and 
re-save the workspace or open the workspace in Word and change the printer 
path and name at the end of the document...

I went to open a workspace today. The tables open up OK and then the 
Layout
Window starts to open, but then the system "hangs".

Note that I ran the Repair option from the MapInfo CD, but it had no 
effect.

I then did a complete uninstall and then re-install of MapInfo, with still
the same results.

Does anyone have any ideas of what I could check to fix this problem?
