I use MI 8, Win XP, & keep all my data (tables and workspaces) on a
portable hard drive. That way I can use a laptop, or desktop, with the
same version of the program installed, and just work on one dataset.
However I find that if I make a layout, usually with a lot of custom
labels, and try to open the workspace on the second computer, the
custom labels vanish. I have the same printer driver installed on each
computer, with the same setting for the printer in
Options>Preferences>Printer.
Are there any files that contain essential information that I may not be
transferring?
