Hello All, I am having trouble trying to deal with some maps in a
Romanian projection. I am unsure of the projection system (as it is not
identified on the map) but have been advised that the maps are of a vintage
consistent with the use of Stereo(graphic) 70. However, what little
information I can dig up about this projection suggests that the base unit is
in metres whereas the hard copy maps have grid lines in lat/long (degrees/minutes/seconds).
Has anyone come across Stereo 70 previously or indeed
have a projection description which I can insert into the Mapinfo.prj
file. I’m told that ArcGis has a Stereo 70 projection capability.
Possibly someone has used the ArcGis projection parameters to develop a MapInfo
projection. Any help would be great! Thanks, Ian ____________________________________________ Ian Farrelly, Aurum Exploration Ltd., Aurum House, Navan, Tel: 00 353 (0)46 9059959 Fax: 00 353 (0)46 9077936 E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] |
