Many thanks to all who replied to request for information on the Fiji
coordinate system - what a great list this is - I love youse all!. I
received a reply from Ms. Litea Biuoko of SOPAC, (thanks Clifford Mungier),
who emailed me the text to paste in the MapInfo mapinfow.prj file. For
those who may also find this useful the information from Litea is:

"--- Fiji Coordinate System ---"

"Fiji Map Grid (WGS72)",8,103,7,178.75,-17,0.9998548,2000000,4000000

"Fiji Lat/Long(Viti Levu - Clarke 1880 datum)",1,99

The Fiji Datum is the Fiji Geodetic Datum 1986 which is based on the WGS72
spheroid. A common mistake in Fiji has been to use the WGS72 Datum in place
of the Fiji Geodetic Datum 1986. In the early 1990s a transformation
parameter was computed by the Forestry department to convert WGS 84 GPS
coordinated into local grid coordinates and has since been used extensively
by GIS Users in Fiji.
