Hello All, I'm an analyst using an old version of MapInfo Professional (5.0.1) for basic mapping and simple hotspot analysis. Having subscribed to this list and picked up a handful of useful tips (including some great answers to problems that had me threatening to throw the computer out the window!) my appetite for GIS has been whetted. Can anyone recommend some good clear guides to using MapBasic for simple tasks (as in searching info, querying tables, even open and closing them!) to get me started?
I'm not looking to retrain as a GIS analyst yet, I'd just like a steer on getting the most out of the software I work with.
