I am using Mapinfo Pro 7.8 and I can't find an easy way to copy objects from one table to another. I have a table_1 that has (non point) objects attached to its records, and a table_2 that is unmapped. They have a common primary key. I want to copy objects from table_1 to table_2 in a simple manner. Right now, the easiest way I found is to join both tables, save a copy as table_3, remove table_1 specific fields in table_3, then delete table_2 and rename table_3 as table_2. If there are fields in table_2 that are not found in table_1, there are a couple of extra steps necessary to retrieve unmappable records in table_2, append them to table_3, and re-sort table_3 prior to renaming it table_2. I believe there has to be an easier way to update objects in tables, but I have not found one so far. Thanks for your help,
