Hi All, We're currently using an HP 1050C and it has been giving us some problems lately. I think it's driver related and we'll solve it eventually, however, I decided to look at some options for when it decides to "no longer co-operate". I was looking at the HP website at their Designjet 800 series. Has anyone used it with MapInfo? Any opinions or advice?
I'd keep that 1050 going as long as I could. I work with both a 1050 and an 800 and find the 1050 much faster. I think there are two factors: wide print swath, and lower DPI. But you would have to have a very keen eye to detect the difference between the 1050 and 800 output. I think the 1050 is less expensive to operate because of the large volume ink cartridges. Just my $0.02.
