Dan,
Background info on ADRG:
ADRG stands for ARC Digitised Raster Graphics, and is as the name
implies, a raster data product produced by the US Department of Defence.
It an effort to standardize the many data products the US/UK military
use, there have been increasing attempts to products data products that
conform to standards as laid down by a NATO committee known as the
Digital Demographic Information Working Group (DGIWG). The standard they
have been developed is known as DIGEST - STANAG 7074. ADRG does NOT
conform to this standard. The military raster that does is known as ARC
Standard Raster Product (ASRP).
This is but a BRIEF introduction to the complex world that is military
mapping - I could go on about CRP, DFAD, DVOF, Vmap, CADRG, DTM,
DCW,......! If you need any further info on these formats then contact
me direct.
As for getting ADRG into MapInfo, try the ADRG Raster Handler from Blue
Marble Geographics (at http://www.bluemarblegeo.com/extmiadrghandler.htm
