Thanks to Chris Perry, Bruce Campbell, Pete Thake and Mike Saunt who
responded on this issue.

>From the responses, it seems the best way to do it is by creating a mapinfo
table storing the objects and a common reference which is used to join the
ODBC table in a SQL query. Then save either the query or the workspace and
the table will be re-created on each occasion.

This works fine and the ODBC table data is editable in browser mode, however
for some strange reason it is not editable in the Info tool, which is
exactly where I need to be able to edit it. The combined table does show as
editable in layer control. Does anybody have any idea why this is? Do I
need to write my own Info tool in MapBasic ?

Thanks in advance again.
