I used to (pre version 4.5) specify a custom screen size in MapInfo in the
"Aspect Ratio Adjustment" box in Preferences.
In v 4.5 when you had specified a Custom Screen Size the layout text on the
screen was not "What You See Is What You Get" anymore (just a hassle when
setting up a layout...)...it printed off OK though!
The "fix" for this was to turn the Custom Screen Size off. (very usefull
feature if you can't use it......)
This is not a very good solution though, because for people who print off
scaled maps through File > Print and specifying the scale the needs to be
specified so the scale on the printed map is correct!
I was hoping this would be fixed in v 5, but no. I have installed patch to v
5.01 and still have the same problem.
Does anyone out there know whether this is going to be fixed? Or am I the
only one having problems with it?
