First -
Thanks to Delcan Troy for informing the group about the VM 2.1.1 patch.
Second -
I have downloaded a GTOPO30 dem data set from ftp://edcftp.cr.usgs.gov.
Unfortunately Vertical Mapper was unable to translate it to a VM grid
file. I suspect that unlike 7.5min Dem data the GTOPO30 dem data sets
are not SDTS compliant. Has anyone been able to resolved this problem,
or will I have to write an application to translate the original binary
GTOPO30 data sets into an ASCII DEM format compatible with VM? Or have I
overlooked something...
