Thanks to Bill Thoen and to Skip William of Northwood Geoscience.

The entire GTOPO30 dem data set can be found on the VM 2.1 CD in a
format compatible to VM. (I did overlook something).

Special thanks to Skip of Northwood Geoscience who actually called me at
the office to inform me of this a few minutes after I posted my message.
