Morten,

I couldn't help but reply to this! Lotus Notes is a very good product for
things it is intended to do - e.g. cut-forms that need to be shared
throughout an organisation. But I have a number of reservations about
storing data in the system! In essence it just complicates the hell out of
everything - not only do you have to run your application (e.g. MapInfo)
but you also have to run Lotus Notes over top of it - and let me tell you -
LN is no 'thin' application, it needs lots of grunt on its own.

My advice (what ever free advise is worth!) is that if you need to
manipulate data, steer a wide path around LN. We've tried excel, access,
MapInFo.... just don't do it. You get nothing back for the extra overhead.

Cheers,
Chris

Subject: MI: Mapinfo and Lotus Notes, Searching for Information

Hello

I am searching for information and experience about Mapinfo integration
with
Lotus Notes. Can they play together?

I am developing a Mapinfo Map system for the North Sea, a typical Oil
company will end up having a 500MB-3000MB data in this area, where most of
the data is 3D batymetric models. Some want to use Lotus Notes as data
storage.
