Try issuing this command through the MapBasic window before you start
Set ProgressBars Off

I was wondering if anyone has had a problem with MapInfo pausing execution of a
MapBasic script while in the middle of extended processing. To resume, all I have to
do is click the mouse pointer in the main window. This is quite annoying, because it
means that I can not get something going and then walk away from it.
