Arcs have a multitude of meanings in GIS and don't come up very often when talking about MapInfo object geometry. Do you want to turn your regions into polylines (representing just the perimeter of the regions) or expand each region into a set of individual line segments (from node to node), perhaps with the attribute data copied for each segment?
