I've been away from the office for a while & am catching up on the mail.  I
haven't seen an answer to your problem, so thought it worth replying.

Our GeoWiz product (which uses Safe Software's FME as a geographic engine)
has a facility which can be used to generate a table of polylines where
each is the boundary between 2 adjacent polygons.
