Argg! Got me this time. It slipped under my McAfee shield and
pooped on my disk. The fix (see
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/happy99.worm.html) is
easy and since it's a worm and not a virus, no damage was done. I
expect my last message has this $%&@*! attachment on it.

I have scanned the online course I just posted for other viruses
with latest virus McAfee checker (2/15/99) and there do not
appear to be any vermin there. If you are at all concerned or
suspicious, just don't run any of the exe files there that are
downloadable. The web pages should be fine and the java script
appears to be safe.

I think Wayne will be as surprised as the rest of us about this.
His previous email to me a couple of weeks ago was clean. But
that's how this worm works. It attaches itself to outgoing email
messages and if the recipient actually runs the attachement you
get it (but reading the message is safe).

Moral: DON'T run any email attachements. Even trusted people may
not realize they're being used as mules. Like, um... me.

Thanks, Mats.
