I have a pair of related questions:
First, when doing multiple location buffer ring analysis I have had to go
to great lengths to assign the buffers to their respective points from a
location table. I have to assign the lat/longs then use this since the
problem is that the buffer aggregated data columns can not be readily
assigned to the original individual point database because there is no ID
to make the association. There must be an easier way to resolve this issue
faster?
Second, and more importantly, once I have the field ready to do the
aggregations (collecting the data that falls within the ring buffers for
each location) MapInfo's Update Column feature forces me to do this one
single data variable field at a time!? I need to do this for too many
variables to make this possible in my lifetime. How can I do this and
aggregate all the variables in one shot? I have been having to go to other
packages to do this and I figure MI must be able to, but how?
Thanks so much,
Matthew
