Hello, I've just joined this newsgroup - having been on ArcView-L for the
last year, so i thought i'd introduce myself. I've recently joined Hackney
Borough Council, London, England, as a GIS Officer. My role is to create
applications for a range of council needs: such as crime mapping, housing,
regeneration, unemployment, health and a Internet GIS application for
public access.
I'm new to Mapinfo but very familiar to ArcView so i'm in the process of
hair pulling for a while. It does appear to have a few oddities - like
saving tables without your authorisation, but i'm sure i'll develop a good
love/hate relationship with it.
