Hello-
Well, MapInfo has done it to me again. Be warned that the new 5.0.1
patch will mess up your icons for MI if you use NT 4.0. It's the same
mistake I ran into last time (4.0 or 4.5 or 4.51 or something, I don't
remember exactly which one).
The icons are stored in an dll called mires500.dll for version 5.0. For
version 5.0.1 the file is replaced with mires501.dll. But guess what,
the update fails to update your registry and NT ends up looking for the
icons in the old mires500.dll which no longer exists. So you have to
reassign the icon location. Easy to do, but a pain in the butt.
Why MapInfo?? I told you about this last time. How soon we forget.
