Rest assured, it certainly isn't personal. We did track that bug,
found that the installer was not updating the registry, and corrected
it to do so. We test for it, and cannot reproduce it here. Besides all
the testing in QA, I just upgraded to 5.0.1 from 5.0 on my own NT 4.0
machine without incident.
I would love to learn what is different about your setup to cause
the problem. Could you reply directly to me with details such as:
NT 4.0 service pack number, MI Pro 5.0 build number (0, 18, or 19),
and anything else that you may think is relevant.
