Hi Andrew
We are agents for Vertical Mapper in Western Australia, and it is possible
to create points from your polylines following the menu >>Create grid >>
poly2point.
We have also just written an mbx, that will, after selecting a polyline,
place points at pre-defined intervals along the polyline from the end or
beginning of the polyline. These points are attributed with 4 fields.
Field 1 (taken from field 1 in the selected polyline, which could be the
drain name, or in your case - height data), X (coord), Y (coord) and D
(distance along line).
We intend to release this as shareware, and for a US$30 registration fee,
you can recieve the source code.
Regards
Rob Healy
