Hi all
We are trying to get my PC set up to be able to connect to a remote ODBC, so far
without success.
This is a new area for us here, so we are short in experience.
I'm hoping that someone here may have already been through this experience and might
be able to help us.
Here is my history.
I am set up for and can manually connect to the ODBC when going through SQL Plus. I
can not do it through Mapinfo.
I use Mapinfo 4.12 in Windows 95. The drivers we have been trying to get to work are;
Mapinfo Win32 oracle 7 version 2.11 and/or version 3.0. Neither one has been
successful.
The other information I have at this time is as follows.
SQL*PLUS: release 3.2.2.0.1
Oracle7 server release 7.3.2.3.0
PL/SQL release 2.3.2.3.0
The error messages I get are below;
[INTERSOLV][ODBC Oracle Driver][Oracle]ORA-01019: unable to allocate memory in the
user side
[INTERSOLV][ODBC Oracle Driver][Oracle]ORA-12705: invalid or unknown NLS parameter
value specified.
Any hints and/or help I might be able to get on this would be greatly appreciated.
Jack
