Re. MapBasic editors
About year ago we got UltraEdit-32 and now use this almost exclusively
as our MapBasic editor.
A few of the many MapBasic-friendly features:
Color display of MapBasic keywords (fully customizable)
MapBasic help in UltraEdit menu
2 keystrokes to compile - F10 puts your code in MapBasic and then ctrl-
k to compile
Extremely good search and replace
Displays Line numbers
Output window
and more...
and (Thomas) no file size limit. In fact, I have opened and edited 1 gig
files in UltraEdit (don't worry, it isn't my latest mb but rather RS image
data in ASCII!).
Not drag and drop visual but it has fit our bill pretty well and may be
worth a look for others.
